CLIMATE ACTION NOW

Human consumption habits are responsible for the rapidly warming globe that generates extreme weather conditions, which in turn creates violations of Human Rights around the world (i.e. droughts, fires, floods, and fatal temperatures causing millions to evacuate their homelands and seek refuge in other countries). Our misuse and mistreatment of the Earth’s resources are killing off many species that are critical to maintaining the biodiversity that supports and sustains the environments we live in. Humanity has created for herself an emergency survival situation in need of urgent and unified action. The heart of responsibility to take this action falls on developed countries who are the primary culprits of toxic consumption patterns.

There are so many ways to have positive contribution to our global family’s vision for healthy longevity on this planet.

All paths toward Environmental Justice are necessary and valuable. We celebrate and support all climate resiliency efforts.

Bliss has chosen to focus our efforts on the path where diet change intersects with climate justice in two ways:

In this regard, Bliss is at the front of the forward-thinking wave pushing us towards more locally sourced, more organic, and more plant-based foods. This is a game-changing idea within the food service and restaurant industries: to move away from convenience and to move towards quality.

A taste of statistics

The United Nations Environmental Assembly found in 2018 that eating a plant-based burger compared to a beef burger:

Uses 75% - 99% less water

Requires 93% - 95% less land

Generates 87% - 90% fewer emissions

When individuals develop the habit of bringing their own cutlery, cups, and containers, we build an infrastructure that is beyond plastic.

We can TRANSCEND the single-use problem.

The responsibility to salvage and protect what remains of Earth’s resources falls on each and every one of us.

Encourage other food service providers to develop systems and incentives like the BYOC Program.

Practice self reliance by bringing your own cutlery, cups, and containers when eating out.

Develop this habit as a radical act of love.

It is a difficult sell - in both business and in life - to go against what is convenient. And yet… Bliss commits to walking this path.

To game-change the industry one more time. To choose quality and care over convenience.

OUR VISION

is where a thriving self creates a thriving planet.

“Our strategy should be not only to confront Empire, but to lay siege to it. To deprive it of oxygen. To shame it. To mock it. With our art, our music, our literature, our stubbornness, our joy, our brilliance, our sheer relentlessness – and our ability to tell our own stories. Stories that are different from the ones we’re being brainwashed to believe.
The corporate revolution will collapse if we refuse to buy what they are selling – their ideas, their version of history, their wars, their weapons, their notion of inevitability.
Remember this: We be many and they be few. They need us more than we need them.
Another world is not only possible, she is on her way. On a quiet day, I can hear her breathing.”
